*BE AWARE, this is a joke, buy this only if you are an idiot and don't read reviews*
DealExtreme: $12.61 PEGA "26000mAh" External Rechargeable Battery Pack for PSP Slim/2000/NDS/DS Lite/GBA
A battery pack storing 26,000mAh!?!
Buy this and power your 1+watt 445 for nearly an hour!!!

....Turns out the chinese making these were putting 70 grams of iron plate in to them just for the weight...
Well, I guess it makes a nice conversation piece!

For the record, ten decent quality 18650s would be equivalent to the storage but think of the size they would take up. The people who bought this are not using their coconuts :D

*Think this belongs in the FAIL thread? ^_^

That is the funniest thing I have seen in a while

The scary part is, 2 sided tape doesnt hold rust very well
and if those break loose, those sealed aluminum packs may short...

Ka-friggin-boom :scared:

So its good for 2 things:
1. Paperweight
2. Chuck it against a wall or shake it if you are cold *KERBLEWIE!!!*

I think the intention is to throw the battery at someone else who owns real batteries and then take their batteries while they're knocked out.

It's a scam to make money on people stupid enough to buy it. That's the reason.

Id agree with the "scam" part, but playing on good nature or trust does
not make one stupid... Perhaps you meant naive?

People spend plenty on sites like DX, and expect some exaggerations.
With that in mind, this is something entirely different, and not only excessive,
but outright dangerous.

I had a similar battery pack accidentally short out some time back,
it rapidly swelled, and finally burst.

My wife awoke sleeping upstairs, our table received one hell of a
scorch mark, and my hand was within inches in a failed attempt
to throw it out the patio door. When the case finally gave, it shot
one hell of a flame out the busted seam.

I had walked away from the table it was on, went to the kitchen
for only a minute. When I returned and saw what was happening,
it was already too late to remove it.

Had I not been around it, or had the device in this thread in my pocket,
I can only imagine the burns I would have received. Even worse it could
easily burn a house down.

Its a shame that a site like DX with a somewhat 'decent' (stretching it)
reputation would sell such a dangerous item to the very people that
keep the money flowing into their bank accounts. :tsk:

It was noted by a customer in review from 07/11/2008 that it has
these metal pieces in it. DX staff regularly read the reviews and comments
in their site.. Why its still being sold is beyond me

Herro, my name Jimmie, I from DX how are you, good I see!

This battewee use new supa-doopa technorogy name Fe2O3 with traces of handwavium, a secwet isotope of wishalloy. We bond Fe2O3 with Unobtanium filaments. These filaments are crystal tubes enclosing one dimensional space. The effect is achieved by first inducing superconductivity in a planar space and then continuously deforming the crystal plane enclosure into crystal tube. One dimensionality is achieved the superconducting current breaks symmetry to split into a gravitational component and a very strong nuclear force component. The very strong nuclear force component strengthens the filament along the longitudital direction and the gravitational component binds the crystalline matrix to the filament.

These battewy should not be excessively stressed. When an unobtainum filament is stressed the resistence of the very strong nuclear force component strengthens the gravitational component. If the stress is sufficient the filament collapses into a black hole string which explodes via the Hawking effect.

We loose many good worker deveroping this battewy but we have many more good worker to choose from.

You buy from us, you be happy, I know!

lol that is funny . . . esp the extra weight . . .
