Nice : ) , I had the idea to use a bolt on thermistor , dose it give good response ?

The V Ref on the 24 series recoms is 3.3V I believe ,

the thermistor is this one: B59901D0060A040

yes, the vref output provides 3.3v with limited current source capability.

edit: how's your jumbo led design going?

Thanks : D ,

Im getting there , have the 15 LiPo's , I just need to attach the wires to the LEDs MCPCB pads , need to find a temp controlled hot plate and get a better soldering iron before I do anything .

the mcpcb of the 4-die led is smaller, but i could still solder wires to the pads with a regular 80-watt weller w/o hot plates just fine. your life would be easier if you find low melting point solder wire
