New interesting red/green focalprice laser

Two caps: one for green and red dot; another for starry dots of mixed red and green

Whats that all about? unsure as to why you'd have to change caps to change colour?

Also their 200mw 532's seem awfully cheap, may get one to power check it.

My interpretation is that it got a bit lost in translation and meant it as:

"Two caps:
-one for green OR red dot (ie it just lets the dots go through)
-another for starry dots of mixed red and green. (some kind of diffraction grating that ends up making patterns with both together)"

Does anyone know if the red/green beam of this is actually combined or if it just has 2 modules next to each other inside the housing?

*edit*

Seems like more than a little bit on this site gets lost in translation.. someone want to tell me what's going on here?

650 200mW 532nm Red Beam Laser Pointer (Black)
# High quality 200mW red laser pointer.
# Wavelength: 532nm.
1 × 200mW 532nm Red Beam Laser Pointer

I am deeply confused.. :|

If they were combined it would produce yellow. Reds are diode lasers, green are DPSS lasers. So they are separated.

I was thinking maybe they have a cheap dichro or something in there that would combine them (to make a cheap RGY pointer), if that were the case I would totally buy one but on second thought I figure they wouldn't take that step for a price like that :)

Jayrob has a kit to make a RGY pointer from a DX red, and green pointer.

Wow thank you for the tip, I found the page via search and this is definitely something I'm going to be doing soon now, I've been looking for a pointer that had the beams actually combined for a while :D gonna have to burn some more holes in the paypal account now :P

well these lasers become available few months ago, also in RGV combination
the bad thing is that the switch controlls ALL lasers (click>all lasers on>click>all lasers off), you can't switch them on/off separately :( when it's on you can select R/G/V beam by twisting that cap with hole (which lets only one beam through)
but with some modification, these would make great RG/RGV laser:)
