I don't think this unit will beat out the Leadlight anytime soon. The main thing that turned me onto the leadlight in the first place was the ability to modify it and tweak the output power. although as SenKat can attest as he now has my doa leadlight it did shorten the life of the laser considerably. Yet for as cheap as the laser is it is still #1 in my book for handheld pointer style MODIFIABLE green lasers. Will be purchasing a new one once I pay off SenKat for the NEW PHRAUG i'm buyin from him. Can't wait to get my hands on that!

that is exactly what my DX 30mw looks like inside.  Gonna be a lot of trouble there.  as you can get the DX 30mw'er for about same cost and it's got better output (though not quite as stable)

It will be interesting to see the response from the consumer at the realization that there is nothing new inside this new laser pointer.
I donno maybe WL has taken an extra step and produced them with a higher QA than dx or newwish or leadlight 110

Looks like the subject of which is going to be better is kind of moot now. Kinda hard to compete with the peps your getting your modules from. Now I don't wanna say for sure that this is what's happening. Maybe it's just a quality design and they are using it too.

I really could care less about if it's better then leadlight, the only reason I like it, is because of the price, and I'm getting a free one!

NICE !! I missed out on that deal by a couple of weeks :( Sniff.....sniff.....now if he was giving away free Spyder II's ? Oh, I would be REALLY mad at myself ! LOL

The "legality" is a grey area - anything above 5mw should be equiped with safety features, or be intended to be used as PART of something. According to the FDA - the same idiots who cannot keep salmonella out of peanut butter !
