New 405nm Laser from O-like

Getting this tomorrow and I will be doing a review. Sadly I don't have an LPM, but I will do my best.
 





Operating Current:I<180mA
Operating Voltage:3.0V=2*AAA batteries

I'm guessing its using something similar to a rayfoss driver.

It actually looks decent. Probably a 4x

Way overpriced though. No more than $50 in parts.

*sigh* its not overpriced, these are not home build lasers, these manufactures buy the diodes, they do not extract them from heat sinks from a PS3 or xbox or wat ever. You are paying for "quality" not parts. As you may or may not know, o-likes quality and lasers are of great quality and are usually over spec..

BTW this doesn't really make sense... for a 4x laser at 180ma, giving 140-150mw?? don't think so.. Its probably a 6x at <180ma as stated, plus after lens will give you around 150mw, and price of GGW's are $60.. so thats a pretty good price IMO!
 
Eying this laser too. Susie told me 150mW version uses 6x blu-ray diode.

nope i will just add them to my collection maybe experiment with 2 and keep the rest.
 
lol I really can't understand people who can just buy 10 lasers 100$ each... :huh:

lol hehehe well let me explain.. if you are a collector then you will really spend some.. if you will only see my closet here.. its full of cheap green lasers from chinese vendors and some BR's... i might have a use on their hosts when they all die. hehehh
 
so did anyone review this yet?

I got into lasers about month ago and want a few, would this be a decent one to have?
 
hehehe 10 is good for me when it comes to doing experiments with it some time.... hehehhe :) my package is about to arrive maybe 7 days more..
