Hello all,
Firstly, just a disclaimer, I know very little about building a laser but I browsed this forum for a bit last year before purchasing a laser.
I ended up purchasing a "2W Ultra Powerful Blue laser pointer Burning laser" from lucklaser.com (The one that is advertised as an announcement on these forums).
Anyways, I recently took it on a camping trip and inadvertently powered on the laser while it had some type of debris sitting on the lens at the front (sand, dirt, or something like that). Now whatever that stuff was is melted onto the lens, totally ruining and distorting the laser beam.
I need to find out what I can search online to find the body of the laser so I can order a replacement, the lens piece of the entire thing unscrews separately from it but I doubt I would be able to find it by itself.
I contacted the support staff from lucklaser with a description and pictures of what I was looking for but they insist the diode itself is damaged and needs to be professionally fixed or replaced (at a pretty good discount, too bad I'm short on funds at the moment).
Here are the images (pardon the messy desk..) :
The whole laser put together:
Different pieces unscrewed:
Close view of the lens:
Any help at all would definitely be appreciated! The whole thing its self is an inch in diameter, so if you know about a suitable replacement "lens piece" that could be useful too.
Thanks.
