It looks like a generic Chinese projector though - I think I want to stay away from that. There's a company called "Cre" that appears to make almost all of these. They have about 500 different models that all seem to be basically the same platform with slight tweaks. It makes finding a review really difficult.

Ya it probably is.. I don't know too much about projectors so I just googled it and clicked the one in your budget with 3800 lumens I'll check some more and maybe find a better one for you

I'm still not sure on the brand of this one though lol
EDIT Again: here's one from newweg also. It's 80$ over your budget and it's 4000 lumens by the epson brand so I'm pretty sure that's a good brand http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824157191CVF

Edit again: lman beat me to it and he found this same one for 50$ less
