and if purchased with the aixiz module its $40 even if the sled assembly is no longer needed?

You're still in time, just go to the thread I posted above, post that you want to buy one diode preinstalled in an aixiz housing, then go to this page
http://pay.lasingpix.com/gpay-bluray.html and on the first box under the picture where it says forum type Laser Pointer Forums, on the second one type your username wich in your case is RandomCivillian, and then on the last one type how many diodes you want. Then scroll down, and on upgrade #1 type the quantity of diodes you want in an aixiz module, if you ordered one, then type in one. That should add up to 25 bucks for the diode, plus 15 bucks for the aixiz housing with a glass lens and the 5 bucks for shipping, that's a total of 45 bucks. Then just go through google checkout.
