Need some help please?

Yup, I got the same one when I was going to make a red laser, don't buy it if you haven't bought it already. It might look like you can fit everything, but once you open it up, there's a lot less space because it has 4 plastic things in the corners to place pc boards. Plus the things where you put the screws aren't all the way in the corners, they're more in the middle and you loose some space. You'd have a hard time fitting the rheostat in there if it didn't have all that crap inside of it, but with all of that it's impossible. I tried to cut all that off and melt it with my broken soldering iron but I messed up the box and now it's all crooked. Get another one, a little bit bigger since you'll be using the rheostat, it's big as hell, just google plastic enclosure and you'll find some pretty decent ones. ;)

well they have some bigger ones there. I can just get the next size up. Guess my last task is getting the right kinda momentary switch and finding out where the hell im gonna get a blu-ray diode. so far the only way i've found one is to buy a ps3 laser unit which seems like a waste of money, I just want the diode!! lol

Yup, just read the entire thread, so you know all the prices and learn more about the diode. It's not a lot compared to the 40 pages I had to read about DDL's driver, and now it's like more than 50. :o

No, nothing is different from the module, it's just a regular aixiz module that used to have a 5mW red diode in it, but got replaced with the ps3 diode.

oh sweet. that would take the mystery out of me figuring that out too. im already gonna have enough trouble trying to figure out the circuit board, i have absolutely no idea how to go about that part

Just wire it up like this: ;)
Ignore the laser diode pinout, that's only for the red high powered ones. And the resistors too, those are 2 10 ohm resistors, you'll only be using one 33 ohm resistor.

oh and how will i know when the group buy for the blu-ray/aixiz modules is happening?

Just order one from PSxboy.com, it's not much difference in price, and you can even get express shipping and get it in about 3-5 days.

well id rather get the diode pre-installed in the aixiz housing for about 25 bucks over buying the module separate and buying the ps3 setup for 35-45 bucks.

Just keep looking into the GB thread, Daedal will post as soon as the new GB starts which he said would be in mid-february.

You have patience, something I severly lack. I would rather pay $5 more to get it now than save $5 and get it in 2 months or ????. Good luck.
