Hi, I live in the UK and I'm after some goggles for my 405nm laser which is around 100mW. I was thinking dragon lasers goggles but the shipping is nearly as much as the goggles. I don't mind paying that if I have to but does anyone know anywhere I could buy them from where I wouldn't have to pay so much for shipping to the UK?

I ordered my BR goggles from Dragonlasers, they are great and I don't remember paying that much for shipping (I'm also in the UK) How much are they asking for PP?
 
You could get them from focalprice but you don't get the same degree of guarantee, and shipping is far slower.
 
I have goggles! Some are for BR only and some are for green, blue or BR lasers, I can send them right away. To the UK it's $18 for BR $21 for the BR- green protection. These are the same as the goggles CNI sells for $48 but no case. the thread link is 2 lines down (in my sig.) -Glenn
 
Glenn's goggles seem like a good choice, if not then the Dragon Lasers goggles are protective for class 3B green, blue and violet lasers.

This depends of course of the goggles, but I guess you meant that the goggles focalprice is selling at that price are good enough right? Btw I just checked your site and you're listing them as "googles". You might want to correct that ;)

Glenn's goggles are a good choice. I know because I own a pair.
 
Yeah I've left a post on his sale thread. I was going to buy some goggles from DL before Christmas but I couldn't complete my order because their payment system doesn't think I can pay in dollars from my card (although I've done so several times before from other websites). I got a reminder to buy some again yesterday when I stupidly crouched down in front of the laser beam to pick up bits of a popped balloon and nearly caught myself in the eye...

a high power laser must go with a pair of goggles. really dangerous to expose bare eyes to that strong beam.
 
Yeah, luckily I had the beam focused close to the aperture and was fairly wide where I was and it didn't enter my eye, I only noticed the scattered light from the aperture. I won't be taking that chance again though!!

you are lucky this time. next time please take care.
UK is one of the countries ban over 1mw laser pointers. ebay don't allow sellers sell over 1mw to UK. how do you get a 100mw laser pointer. do you built it by yourself?:san:
