Hello everbody

Like the titpe says I need help with a driver. I bought a 3.2W Zaser and I want more safety. I thinked to install a 3 or 5 mode driver. I searched for sites and I found this site whivh I think has some good and quality stuff.
LCK LED STORE - Professional LED Supply

But I'm a newbie to this and need your advice and help. Do you know a driver that is able with my Zaser? Any suggestions? Links are welcome.

The Zaser is set at 2.33A

So you want to take out the stock driver and replace it with a 5 mode driver is that it ?

Are you referring to this driver maybe> Constant Current LED Driver Board - 5 Mode, 3-4.2v, 2.6A

Yeah, I looked at this one two but its only 3-4.2v and the Zaser is feeded with 2 x 18650 3.7v.
Does it not matter that this driver has 2.6A? Wouldn't that risk the die of the diode?!

Well that could risk the diode, which one of them drivers were you thinking of then ?

This one can do the voltage input> Constant Current LED Driver Board - 4 Mode, 6.2-9.2v, 2.5A

but may be too much power for your diode, do you know what diode is in the laser ?

Its the 9mm (M140?)
Its offroads Zaser no. 4 if you want to take a look.

Edit: yes thats the one I found to.

Wait is it the 9mm Nichia diode? Or the M140 diode out of the M140 projectors?

You can tell by the size of the diode. If it takes up pretty much the entire diameter of the copper module, it is the 9mm, if it is smaller (half a centimeter or so, it is the M140.

Most of the Zasers are made with the 9mm, and no M140 is driven at 2.33a, so with an educated guess, i can say your diode is the 9mm.

:) just make sure to be clear next time

Yeah that is definitely the 9mm Nichia (you can tell from the glue spots from the lens mount). That driver should work, based on the output results on that page, which seems to make it more of a 2.2A driver than 2.4A.
