need dummy load for PHR-803T diode

He used 10, ten Ohm resistors (1/2 watt)in parallel, to get 1 Ohm. (5 watts total?)

In my test load I'm using four 1N4001 diodes and two 1N4004 diodes. I'm guessing it won't matter, the only difference is the 4004's handle 400 volts instead of 50?
