Nasa and friends do a laser safety video, with plenty of joules and good tips that are timeless. This is way, way, way before dpss, and the NASA engineers spent a lot of taxpayer time researching good target materials. While DATED, nothing in this video is out of date safety wise except the signs and emission indicators and nomographs.

Folks, spend 11 minutes watching this.

Awesome vid, yeah its a little dated, but what is said will always remain current.

Good Find...
There is info in that Video that I wasn't aware of.... It's now bookmarked...

Yeah a Laser Safety Sticky would be a great idea..
Especially for the New Members....

Wow I didn’t realize that diffused reflections can be more damaging at longer distances. Makes sense though.

I've been to NASA Goddard but they didn't show us anything about lasers :cryyy:. We just learned about satellites and other spacecraft as well as facility operations. It was a good learning experience though.

Awesome video! Nice find. Definitely should be a sticky and must read for the whole forum.

Any guesses to the year that was made? I am going to guess 1977? I REALLY love the jacket this guy is wearing!

Cheers,
John
