Well, I have completed my sound card DAC, and was met with some VERY ugly patterns when i tried to crank up the scan speed. I came to the conclusion it was my tuning. So I proceeded to tune them! I am still having a few blanking problems, but its working!  8-)

Anyway, here are some pics:

"YOM". Slight blanking prob down the bottom ..

"DISK" logo displaying fine, apart from the blanking prob.

Perfect media test pattern (But also has the little blank spot)

the ILDA test pattern, with those same settings as above, with something weird going on down in the left corner.

Square with those same settings (If I try remove the overshoot, it screws up other stuff :( )

All were at the same scan speed of about 17 - 22K

I am happy with the tuning, and once I fix the blanking, it will be fine  8-)

Re: Tuning my scanners!

be very careful when tuning!!!!

if its your first time you can do more damage than good

Re: Tuning my scanners!

Well, I have seen to have got the tuning to a pretty good state, now its just the blanking I need to fix up. I had a quick play around writing out some text tonight. here are the results.

Nice scanner work!

I'll be tuning my 10kpps scanner when I find the time, it really needs it. With results like yours, I can't wait! :D

What article or instructions did you use when tuning?
