i feel kinda stupid asking this but you said the only 473nm you have is a DPSS you pulled from a medical device, what is that particular wavelength used for in the medical field? ive always wanted to know i just didnt know how to ask and this was the perfect oppurtunit. thanks paul

It is used to detect carotenoids in people by RAMAN spectroscopy. Before this could give levels by just scanning a persons skin, one would need a blood test and have to wait for results to know.

Actually. this technology is 20 years old. I makes for some nice 473nm DPSS lasers and some new spectrometers that will hopefully be useful to me one day.

PM Alaskan, he might/might-not of purchased quite a few 473nm units

Alaskan is in Qatar now. I don't know how much help he would be on this now. He did buy up several of these units when everyone else was about a year or more ago.
