I purchased a 200mW CNI 473nm laser from Lasershowparts.com to use in an RGB projector I am in the process of building and to my surprise I received a unit that is well over spec. I have measured its output to 300mW+ and it still has a little head room. Needless to say, I am one happy customer. This laser burns the crap out of stuff like a 300mW laser should, but the best feature of this laser is the beam visibility and color. I Love this color. Here are some beam shots and a video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WdRyLxndETM

And here are a few blu-ray diffractions.

That $6995 price is for the 200mW 457nm. I got the 473nm which was only $2295. That is in aus so it is like $2100 us

Oh stupid mistake on my part :D
$2295.00 is still a lot for a single laser.

Bah. Can people NOT delete posts. It's rather annoying.

but that is one COOL laser!@@!!!!!!!!1

Yeah the price tags on blue lasers are brutal. The price per mW is WAY better though with lab style vs hand held. For this reason I have never owned a blue pointer. I would rather buy a 50mW lab laser for $500 than a 2mW pointer.

Simply marvelous color I agree.

I got my most recent one for 68cents/mW ;D

Would you mind sharing the wealth? :D[/quote]
It's probably some kind of argon laser.

that looks amazing, i am so jealous!
PLEASE, take some outdoor beamshots??
one day, i am going to get a +500mw 473nm labbie, and hopefully thats not too far away.

That's awesome! :D What are the beam specs on it? And is the green module your 1W viasho? It compares nicely to it.At least on camera.
You're gonna get in trouble one day because of darklantz' outdoor requests :D :D

Model Number: LP473-200
Output Power: 300mw
Wavelength: 473nm
Spectral linewidth: 0.1nm
Transverse mode: TEMoo
Operating mode: CW
Beam diameter, 1/e2: 3.0mm+/-0.2mm
Beam divergence, full angle: 2.0mrad+/-0.2mrad
Power stability(25C): +/-5% over 2 hours
Pointing stability: <0.05mrad
Residual IR: <0.01%
Operating temp: 10-30 degrees C
Warm up time: 15 minutes
Expected lifetime: 10,000 hours
Input Voltage: 85-240VAC, 50/60Hz

Here are the specs, although the beam diameter seems smaller than 3mm. The green laser is a 200mW.
Yeah I think Darklandz is trying to get me put away so he can come steal my lasers while I'm in jail.

Wow thats awesome, particularly the blue outdoor pics.. I have a question though : on LGs site they put 457 nm lasers as highest output blue, so why isn't it less expensive than 473nms ?
