My lens is stuck. Please help!

RC i was thinking the same exact think just was thinking to say something or not good eye oke:
looking at the lens you can tell the is some damage on the threat !

Frustrating and nerve racking I bet, but glad you got it out. The ultimate test is if the diode is still good or got tweaked in the process ? Best wishes

Oh man! I lost it on RC's post with the zoom in on the spring! :crackup: That thing was mangled!

Yeah, I think I got pretty lucky--there was minimal damage to the components. The smooth side (highlighted in Alien Laser's attachment above) was damaged a bit, but I was able to mostly smooth it out by running a knife through the rough sections. The thumb wheel actually wasn't a problem at all, it went on and off easily. I wrapped some tennis grip tape around the module and the exposed lens threads, which I think protected it quite well.

And yep, both the diode and the lens still work! I took some pictures which I'll post to the other thread. Thanks for all the support guys!
