Im a littlle late to the game, but i finally got my first 635nm. Its based off the
300mW diode and driven at 700mA from two AMC7135 regulators. The host
comes from focalprice and was originally a green laser that had rather poor
stability. At $16 i had no problem ripping it apart for the host :D With the
original module removed and the aixiz module fitting snug in the barrel with a
new glass lense, all i had to do was drill out the aperature for the wider beam,
and press it all back together.

Yup, i have the focus set to infinity, which for these just produces a flat bar for the dot.

LOL, i sure do! Dispite all the pictures of this diodes "dot" that i have seen on the forum, it still surprised me by how wide it truely is.
