Is there a filter that is very transparant at wavelengths longer than 10,000nm?

It must not be passive anyware that this material's optical transmission is above 0%:

i need the rising edge of the filter to start at around 10,000nm, be relitivly transparant (75 - 80% at any point between 10,000nm and 12,000nm).

any ideas?
does co2 laser optics ring any bells?

Wavelengths longer than 10,000 nM are in the realm of ZnSe. I don't have the curves for this material. It works well at 10,600 nM.

Why don't you let us know precisely what it is you're attempting.

For example - if you came in here asking "how do I use a jackhammer" we might ask "why do you need to use a jackhammer"

If the answer to the latter question is "to knock my grandmother's head off to let out the evil spirits that gave her cancer", then maybe the problem is actually unrelated to jackhammers

They don't have anything related to CO2. Look into some silicon mirrors. You can reflect the 10.6um very well and only partially reflect the visible or whatever else.
