Most powerful laser under $1000?

That's maybe a little over the top, more like they have a low price to entice customers into buying under powered, crappy product,

But didn't you just say that the lasers were made by the same company? And by the looks of it, effectively the same model? That would imply that there isn't anything wrong with the product, just which products they decide to sell, and by how much they decide to sell them, meaning that the fault is in their testing.

But anyway, now we're just nitpicking ;D

Dragon Lasers > Tech Lasers

Dx true 50 cost $25,45 (4 times under priced) and 200mW red costs me $21,25 (DIY)

I'm not sure, but for a $1000 + DIY-ing ( :D) you could set up your own 20-40W CO[sub]2[/sub] tube. :P

The true 50 green costs $54 and the DX200 red (no DIY) costs $53. I think that's what razako was talking about.

Yeah they are the same type, but aren't relative to what they're selling... ;)

40W CO[sub]2[/sub]s are less than a grand if you build a cooling system and control system yourself.

What are you going to do with a 40W laser? Seriousy...

Now I personally would much rather have a portable. I've got a project going now to make one of my barrels for a 5 WATT Snoctony 808 c-mount burner. The only issue I'm having is being able to provide 5 amps from 2 batteries.

Car battery. Problem solved. :)
