module hookup

hi All, I have a green module out of a DX laser. In addition to the 3 diode pins, there are 2 other wires that come off the module & attach to the driver. Are these necessary, or can I just solder their ends together & insulate them from the driver? Can anybody help, please? Thanks phoenix77

Maybe they are temperature control ? I suppose very unlikely for a DX laser though ....

some of the DX lasers have an optical feedback from a light sensor that samples some of the output, but it doesn't seem to affect the driver much considering you can just disconnect it and the power output does not change
