I'm having a hard time figuring out what mid-open means: 100mW 532nm Mid-open Star Projector Green Laser Pointer Pen : GadgetTown.com

Also, since its a star projector pen, do you think I could just take the end off and have the beam?

One more, which of these lasers do you think I should get?
Buy 50mW 532nm Mid-open Green Laser Pointer Pen at GadgetTown.com (the URL isn't the same as the pen... Hmm.)

100mW 532nm Mid-open Star Projector Green Laser Pointer Pen : GadgetTown.com

Buy 50mW 532nm High Power Green Laser Flashlight at GadgetTown.com What does flashlight mean when it comes to this? Does that mean it has a big beam? Or that it has a flashlight on the other end?

Thanks for the help in advance. :)

it means it opens for batteries in the middle.

AFAIK you can unscrew those caps for a regular beam.

And for which laser to get, go to the reviews section or do a search.

Hate to break it to you, but that laser won't be 100 mW. At that price, I would be surprised if it even pulls an average of 50 mW.

Next time buy from Rayfoss or O-like, whose prices are still cheap but have much better quality. Or spend a little more and buy from Optotronics.

Oh, thanks for the info. Thankfully soon I am getting a job, then I'll have some money! :D

Just because they advertise here means nothing. They pay for ad space, not posts. If they were reputable they would be on the list.

What he is saying is that if they were worth buying from, they would be on the list.

A good tell is if the site sells other things besides lasers, the lasers are probably crap.
