Fenix is a well established company who sell great products. I have several of their torches. One gets used daily at work and its well over 5 years old. It would be sad if a reputable company is lying about the capacity. But 3500 for an 18650 does seem a bit high.

It sure seems to be. Never heard of Fenix but they do seem to have some heavy duty camping gear.
Ok its not a a battery but I see they have this really cool filtering drinking straw for suspect or contaminated water. Nice find Bowtie:)

Aren't the 16340's shorter than the 18350's ?

With the 16340's being 34mm long vs The 18350's being 35mm long ?

Or am I wrong with how the number system works ?

Well, you must have been mentioning my post, where I said these 16340's aren't much longer than ordinary 18350's.

I said that because we have been talking about Fenix's 2 new batteries which are longer than the traditional cells of that same size designation, (18650, & 16340).
BobMc is buying two of the longer Fenix 16340's which are approximately the same length as a standard 18350 cell. No one is saying 16340's are longer than 18350's.

Still think these can be really great. I'll do a review on them after I put them through a couple of charges. I have a Opus bt-c3100 charger I can run it through their testing mode and give the results. Hoping the best! :)

So I asked this....

To which you answered......

Yes, the 16340's are a tad shorter and narrower but most units that take 18350 can run on 16340's. Hoping with the charging circuit the length will be enough where I won't need to use battery magnets .

So I'd say yes you did but whatever........

Come on, quite making stuff up and taking stuff out of context. Ask yourself, who did I direct my post to you or BtG. Please, enough already!

LG, Sanyo, and I believe Panasonic make 3500mah 18650s. But I would feel safe saying any 18650 rewrap claiming more is a marketing scheme.

I've got the Opus BT-C3100, along with the Nitecore Intellicharger I4, and several others. They all serve different purposes depending on what I'm trying to do. I have to agree, though, that the Opus has some great features that have come in handy for the past two years, or however long I've had it.
