micro flex drive with 445

I had him set mine to 1,000mA, so let's see how that works out. I'm still brainstorming how I'm going to heat-sink that power-sucker, heh.

I was thinking about using thermal bond all over the board or encasing the board in mineral oil with-in the driver tube...lol.

Check out the link in my sig about the 18650 mod... I used a thermal conductive / electrical insulating pad.... I recommend it highly.

How bad should I be worried about heatsinking the driver at 600 ma?

i wouldnt be worried at all. i have a v5 pushing 810ma. with optical output of 670mw. with an 18650. i have left it on for about 3mns straight. and i have about 3/4's of an ounce of aluminum for my modules heatsink.

also, i have a total life so far of about 3 hours run time.

I have mine running at 750mA, and no heat sinking at all. It produces about 600mW of light power.

I just got my Flexdrive v5...it's so tiny!

Now I just need to make a final selection on a host and grab a Module.
