I don't understand this graph.
can someone explain plz?
why does Amps goes with Volts??
and why Watts is on the other side?

Re: Meta Topic : Pinout & Performance of actual LD

It's 2 graphs in one. You have amps/watts and amps/volts

Re: Meta Topic : Pinout & Performance of actual LD

I don't have a calibrated LPM so I can't post any power numbers, but here's photos of a diode from my junk dvd-rw collection.

Drive: Nec Opiarch AD-5170A
Can: Short Open
Chip: Medium length?

Atleast this way people will know the package-type. If I get a calibrated meter I can update with more data.

Update nov 2012 with new diode (omg.. the old day with low power diodes seems far !)
Holy hell, you're still alive? :D

Nice to meet you!

Epic work on this thread, BTW!

Oh that's just some basic 3D Studio Max, you can learn to do that in first 30 minutes of following first tutorial around.

Anyway, yeah about the time I joined this forum, I always looked up and forwarded this thread of yours for reference, both for my self and other people who asked anything about diodes.

Pretty much looked up to it. I never got the chance to talk to you, though!

I know life gets in the way, it does for all of us after all :D But I hope you'll be more frequent on the forums?

Thanks! But I've just turned the original list into google spreadsheet and added a few builds for now. All credit should go to those who had the original idea :)

Thanks man, about the comment regarding music, it's "In Flames" band. Usually melodic death metal but that was one of the more "ambient-y" ones.

Also, it's hardly a lab :D Just my room, is all.

I'd sy you have a lot to catch up on "what people can make". How about 3+W single-diode handhelds? :D

Re: Meta Topic : Pinout & Performance of actual LD

that's some useful stuff there. thanks for all the homework you did, as it'll surely be priceless help to many!
