While i'm working on getting my 7 watt "Hammer" back up and running it's on hold for a little bit BUT in the mean time i was messing around with my thor saber and the thought occurred to me that i have some left over Cyl lenses so i set up a 2X pair in a tube similar to what i did for the "Hammer" and by using the same type of "tube" setup i could slide my home made beam expander on to it, If anyone thought it was pretty long before, Ya ain't seen nothing yet.....

Check out the length of this laser now !!!

Not sure it's long enough, can't quite see it from my backyard (yet). :D

Like your tri-pod, for the price they work quite well. :)

Hey if it works, it works, besides so much of our space is dedicated to batteries.

Do you have any beam pics ?

Thank's, I think it was ArcticDude that turned me on to them and gave me a link to them on ebay ?

I'll take some tonight, So far the beam is looking pretty tight and focusable to a small point at a wide range of distances, That is for a M462 2.2 Watt 462mn Diode but it's no 44 ! lol

Sorry about that, I like to give credit where credit is due !

Glad I could be of help.

Enjoy that laser on steroids. Best wishes with your "hammer" rebuild, and like Red mentioned, beams shots are always a good thing. (hint hint) :)

Thanks for the pics. Beam shots are like cookies. Never meet one I didn't like, some I liked just better. :)

Besides it's tough to get outside beam shots in neighborhoods. You've got to do it so quickly, it's what I've discovered taking pictures at the house. Can't leave the beam up to long. Don't want unwanted attention. Still a nice looking build. Thanks for posting them and letting us enjoy them. :)

Oh your too kind, It's really a Frankenstein looking thing that only a mother could love, which is what you end up with when you don't have a machine shop anymore........ :yabbem:

Accu, i'm wondering if the added optic's are really robbing some power?
M462 at 2W+ isn't no joke:beer: Should be a bit brighter in the dark pic's:undecided:

It's a lot of the camera, all i have is a old Kodak Easy Share Camera, But as we all know lenses rob some power, How much power = How many lenses * How good the lens glass is - Lens alignment @ The speed of light..... Or something like that but you get what i'm saying..... lol

She is looking beautiful my friend, keep up the good work, and great pictures!!
