Just thought I post here that I am finally home from the hospitals and the nursing home since a couple days ago. I am now dealing with a much worse situation than before I had the surgery and it will take me some time to get back anywhere near where i was before. Thank you to all the people who sent me messages and worried about me. It is greatly appreciated.

Thinking of you my dear friend.
Sorry to hear of this situation.
I'm relieved to see you posting an update though.
Thank you.

You're in my thoughts for a full recovery Paul.

The kit includes: a diffraction grating (you cut from a DVD-R)

Clearly nothing close to a professional product, then.

Correct. Anyway the topic is about spetrometer for under 1 USD. :D No need to purchase their product - plans are opensource for DIY. In addition on their webpage there is free SW for calculation of spectrum. IMO for the cost not bad.
