Re: Magnacharger - my "portable" lab build

Hmmm...Why heatsink a battery when the components are inside a plastic shell..and plastic isnt a very good thermal conductor?

Could it be someone has too much stuff on hand? xD

Re: Magnacharger - my "portable" lab build

Yep, your right.

These were cutoffs that I did from my DRSSTC bridge, they really had no other use, too overkill to fit TO-247s, and not worthy to use ISOTOPs with them, and bricks wont do good either.

was either gonna lay in the cabinet for 10 years, or be put to use, this had been its use, as I really liked the finned look for the "butt" of the laser.

You gotta admit... it looks cool.

A heatsinked battery is more intimidating than a plastic shell battery.

That will be a great testing platform for future diodes, very rugged and adaptable :gj:

Can anyone recommend a good brand of black spraypaint that is very resistant to wear and chipping? Tremclad isnt cutting it.

Por 15 or try engine paint at an autoparts store.
