Good afternoon everyone, Happy Sunday, 2015, bladi-bladi-blah
:beer::san:
I posted a while ago (more than a year) in the introductory forums, introducing myself from Hollywood, got quite a few nice shoutouts.
It involved the first laser I built, a ~2W 445nm M140 C6 Host Laser, with a fixed 1.8 amp driver from Garoq (SurvivalLaserUSA).
Today I installed and configured WiFi at a work location of my relatives, and I'm expecting the compensation soon; I am sitting with the purchase page for the M462 diode module-pressed and pre-wired from DTR.
I'm also going to run at a fixed 1.8 Amps (buck driver, below, by Lazeerer) :scared:
I just recently (last Friday) confirmed a build with Ehgemus
aypal: for what I thought was the most beautiful and appropriate host for my next build.
It looks to me like a Light Saber
As opposed to my last build, I'm actually going to take pictures and post them on here for everyone to enjoy, alongside my first blue once it's repaired.
I should be updated here by this time next week, stay tuned! :na::thanks:
Edit 3/5/15:
So my driver for my M140 came in, turned out my diode took a poop during the time its driver was out of commission
Thankfully, DTR is pressing a new one with leads into my module (it's in the mail now); in the meantime, I decided I needed to deanodize my C6 host..:tinfoil:
Edit 3/13/15:
Moving all that and its future updates to another more appropriate post for itself, I guess where it really belongs.
Going on with my build:
Soo the diode and driver got sent to my old house; somehow paypal got that address of 3 years ago.. thankfully my parents were passing by there, so they snagged it for me
My host from Eghemus came in on Wednesday and I went right to building (got too excited when I saw that in the mail), though I'm going to have to remove the driver again to add a heatsink that just came in the mail yesterday
sooo without further ado, I present to you...glory.
Unpackaging, still in work clothes, and still need to clean this table from shining the first host
Soldering the diode to the driver, with helping hands from amazon
All coming together now
What a gorgeous little
Now for Beamshots
On my work break today I want to try and use this glass crystal trophy in our conference room; it'll probably make for some cool shots
Hope you guys enjoy
3/13 after lunch
Here is a video of the beam being shone through that taller crystal, the light looks beautiful!

-Hosts hold a 12x30mm module
-9" long
-Side momentary switch
-Host holds 2 18650 batteries
-Host have positive contact
-Each host has a positive and negative wire (pre-wired)
-each host has a focus ring
-Host heatsink unscrews for an easy build.
Laser #4 close up.
