LZCB - 532nm 100mW Focusable Green Laser Pointer
LZSK - 532nm 100mW Focusable Green Laser Pointer

has anyone ordered these lasers ? what is the difference between the two? witch would be better for long distance pointing with a small dot? (good divergence)

I honestly think both will have the identical beam characteristics. The LZSK is a better host than the LZCB, imo. Looks nicer too.

i thought so,,,how far would you think this laser could go at night? also witch laser would you think would be brighter the green or this one... LZSK - 445nm 300mW Focusable Blue Laser Pointer from lazerer
LZSK - 445nm 300mW Focusable Blue Laser Pointer

The green will definitely be brighter, by a lot. Assuming 1mrad divergence, the 100mW greenie will reach up to 14km and still cause a distraction hazard.

I'd say the effective range will be around 5km.

ok how bright would you say the 300mw blue one would be compared to a green laser? -as in the blue one would be as bright as a 5mw green,,,50mw green?,,, approximately...thanks...and dont worry i am safe with lasers,,,planes fly over my house 100 times a day and i have never had an incident ...

I use this calculator from rhd to determine brightness of differing wavelengths:
Beam: (532nm 100mw) vs. (445nm 300mw)

So, a 532nm 100mW is approximately 4.78x brighter than a 445nm 300mW.

EDIT: holy crap 666th post.

well dang i thats the most exact answer i can expect...thanks...this calculator may become very useful..also the 445nm would have much worse divergence correct?

yes 445nm's have really bad divergence, especially with a high-powered lens like a G-1/G-2.

Greens are the way to go for pointing.

Glad i can help.

ok thanks for the help---so is it basically that the lower the wavelength the worse the divergence? thus a 405nm violet will be the worst divergence? or is it based on mw?
