I plan to keep adding safety info in the thread. Its not just 'wear' the goggles and there can be no harm. I do not expect many new members to read all but they can see how many pages I have filled (so far) and hopefully appreciate the 'big picture' of laser safety.
Very interesting and a lot to take in, for new members please wear your proper laser safety glasses and never expose others to risk even if you do take them yourself.
4 years have passed.. I sent emails about my re-exam but all were ALWAYS busy... it's near the top of my 'must do ASAP' list.
all my own fault-- I had a 'close-call' this spring. two stays in two ICUs .. doing better now BUT cannot put off my LSO exam any longer.
There are ton of careers in the medical laser field alone ... and new ones happening all the time.
IF I were young and a member here.. AND I really like lasers...a field of study involving photons would be number 1.
Nothing like doing for a living something you enjoy... (sadly I do not recommend the 'lasershow' biz-- all the new HUGE screens AND LED lights are crowding out the laser shows-- cheaper --less danger involved. Less insurance.. quicker to set up and take down..etc )
thanks in advance to anyone posting here-
- a 'sticky' would be nice tho...... (hint hint)
