Lpc826 not bright help

Yes I'm using a 1ohm resistor on the dummy load and do you think it's safe to use the laser diode on this laser driver??

So quick update
I have successfully made a working red laser!
I placed it all.together in a little project box and it can make some stuff smoke and yeah it's pretty good for my first time I guess.
Thank you so much to all the people which helped me.i appreciate it

A long time ago. I own the ML101U29 diode. and I use THIS DRIVER (CN5611) with single 18650 just fine. These diodes are possitive case. This driver is good the diode when you want to build the laser pointer with case possitive. I also have a plat to build the 10mW 659nm laser pointer with this driver too. Please beware if the voltage is more than 6 volt (actually may be more than 5.6 or 5.8 or 5.9...) it will breaks and do internal short circuit...
