lpc-815 or lpc882

Hi all, I recently fried my lpc-815 and i'm looking for a new diode. I found this thread: http://laserpointerforums.com/f50/new-loc-laser-diode-review-52240.html
The diode looks very interesting. What i want to know is which diode i should buy. I want a diode where i can see the beam at night. Is the 815 allot more powerful?
I found the 885 on ebay for 13€(about 17$) or i could buy the lpc from highttechdealz

The LPC-815 does about 250mW, so compare it to what that diode does in that post. Can you see it at night? If you have enough dust in the air. It's not like you're going to find a more powerful diode anyway.

theyre both probably about the same diode from what i can tell. since the lpc sleds are cheaper id probably suggest just getting an lpc unless you want to spend the money. the upside to the 822 is the diode is brand new and has longer pins but thats about it.

ok, thanks for your help, i think i'll try the new 822 diode because it looks sturdy and the output different isn't very noticeable.
