Thanks

Does anyone else think companies selling vastly overpowered lasers is a bit danegerous?
Only as dangerous as the person wielding it, that's why it's important to spread safety awareness

Thanks

and I was always extremely careful with them because I knew the dangers
Yes, the label thing is what's bothering me - just label them correctly so that people know what they are buying. I don't mind strong lasers in general if the owners are responsible. But calling a laser eye safe then selling it when it's actually 80 mW.... As far as I'm concerned that's wrong.
Of course, but with my stronger two, I never carried them with the batteries inside (to prevent them from accidentally turning on in my pocket) , never pointed at anything that could reflect in some ones eyes (so basically in the sky or some far away lawn). And those were weak compared to some of the stuff people build here (according to specs the green one was 20mW and the purple one 30mW).I think this is really the way people should treat all lasers
Of course, even with the low powered ones I don't aim for peoples/animals eyes and other dangerous things like that.
well for one thing- a 405 with that power may be hard to see at all -- even by a cat.
He is my offer to you-- send me a stamped small bubble envelope and I will ship you one FREE 405 module that is less than 5 mW- works fine on 3 to 5 VDC and its focusable too.
In return I ask that you go to your profile page and fill the missing parts out.
If its help you want then this is what you need to do to get it..
Your location and age are needed- we kinda like to hear a little more about you and your personal goals with lasers.
Telling us this in a post will not cut it- needs to be in your profile so we see it every time you post...
On other forums this may be unimportant-- but here its needed..
