Saw this book on amazon while looking for the Bill Benner book on laser scanners - its called:

Lasers, Death Rays, and the Long, Strange Quest for the Ultimate Weapon

I don't have it any was wondering if it had anything that might be interesting or fun.

If you don't have one already, I suggest "Solid State Laser Engineering" by Walter Koechner. I've had it in hardcover for some years. Best book on lasers I have.

I'll look it up - (I looked - Holy crap, its expensive - $200)

This one just looked more like fun, which is why I. asked.

No I don't have it but it looks interesting.

Ebay has an Uncorrected Proof ( used ) for 6.00 with free shipping.

I see you bought a paperback version. The value is in when it was published. The newer the edition the more expensive it is.

I bought it more as a fun read about the past history not so much for current information.

I'm hoping it will capture attention on the end table next to the devils dictionary and Akira Yoshizawa
