Anyone know the cheapest 100mw green laser? I would .like a last that puts out 100mw of green light(Ir not included if present) and is reliable. It should also have high quality parts. I was currently looking at the sic fi lasers green, but if anyone knows of others, i would like to know. Also, is the sic fi 532nm good?

sci-fi is good, but i have an optotronics 150mw pen and I love it :) no ir and very nice beam.

Or buy the pointers from LaserChick. since LC is in the US stuff will arrive faster and no custom.

since Sci-fi have a lot of orders things might take month to arrive...
Optronic might not ship due to restriction...
or ask a US member to build and send to you.
or DIY...

You shouldn't have any trouble with Optotronics shipping, since they are located in the U.S. (Mead, Colorado). :)

Parameters. Does it matter if it's a 532nm or 520nm, when it arrives and how much it costs? "cheapest and quality" are pretty subjective. If you say "x" is what I'm willing to pay it narrows things down;) What do you mean by reliable? Are you saying will it come on when the button is pushed a few seconds at a time or do you want to be able to turn it on for longer periods of time? These kinds of questions are too difficult to answer without specifics.

i know that everything from Sanwu/Podo are way over spec!!! i purchase a 800mw 405nm from Podo/Sanwu and it came at 900mw+

I am extremely interested:thanks: Can anyone tell me if this is legit? If its is i will buy one this second. Someone who know about this laser please input:thanks:

Podo who is a member of LPF and his Sanwu company/brand are 100% legit.

Check out his thread here, he offers large array of his own Sanwu brand and also the 50 and 100mW greens as a service to people who want a low cost green- http://laserpointerforums.com/f39/fs-sanwu-laser-store-r-g-b-handhelds-x3-stainless-steel-spiker-release-93166.html

I already have a generic 303 Ebay green laser pointer that I am reasonably happy with. I have been looking for an extra one, with perhaps a little extra power for a more pronounced beam.

Looking at the Sanwu site, the similar looking 301 laser are sold as either < 50 mw or < 100 mw. That leaves room for a lot of interpretation. Does Podo say that the < 50, or < 100 are actually metered a 50 mw, and 100 mw, or would I be just as well off getting another one from Ebay, for slightly less money, and unknown power?

If you get one of Podo's pointer, charger, diffuser lens combos, you still need to buy a battery somewhere, correct?

This is for no particular use, other than occasional pointing to stuff, and just to have before someone gets around to banning them. I am not looking to make an investment in sophisticated equipment at this point, but if Sanwu really does offer a metered 100 mw, i would certainly be in for 1 or 2.

Thank you for any input, or advice.
