Looking for Special Host

Hey everyone. I got this brilliant idea today, and I need a special machinist to do it.

I'm looking for a glass host. Yup, you got that right, a glass host. I'm thinking it will be a typical host shape (flashlight like), but made of glass, with the exception of one strip of metal running along the side to act as the ground return.

I'm envisioning this because I think that it would be awesome to be able to see the internals of the host while it is running. Now, of course, I would have to use a module for the diode so it doesn't reflect everywhere. But I think it would be a neat idea.

Anyone up for the task?

It would be really nice to see IMO, but a glass host isn't easily made with mill and lathe it would cost a fortune
Also you couldnt use any high powered diode (without having a 10 sec on 30 sec off duty cycle) in there which is not that bad IMO,because I would go for a nice PLB450 in there

If I could do it I would go for it would be a real unique host

I would place some tiny 0805 leds with almost the same wavelength of the laserdiode in there so that the whole glass host glows magically in the same color

Searched for a glass flashlight / laser host a few years ago, but couldn´t find one.
