Again, a 50mw green pen from laserbtb. ≈$43 shipped with an IR filter

If you only need 5mw, the Laserglow Anser for about the same (faster shipping though) - LINK

A 10mw green pen from Optotronics ($47.90 shipped) - LINK

Or a member who is willing to build/sell one

EDIT: A laser is a sensitive instrument and not really meant to take much of a beating. Water resistance shouldn't be that hard to find, but sudden jolts from a drop might. A 520 diode laser would be slightly more expensive but more shock resistant too...

Would a red one be a better option. I guess the color doesn't really matter. I just figured the green color would be best for high visibility.

Was going to suggest laserbtb too but saw you got there first :D

To the OP: If for some reason you can't wait 16 days then pay for DHL which arrives in 3-4 days.

Yes, a red will be slightly less expensive and slightly more shock resistant. As far as visibility, what will it be used for? Will you need to see the beam?

No I will not need to see the beam. Just what it's hitting. It's going to be used in maintenance on moving machinery where people may not touch while in operation. The machinery has to be as efficient as possible so if maintenance needs to be done during operation then we must get a clear idea of what needs to be done, exactly.

Gad, laserbtb really is your best bet, their lasers are great quality and are a good price per mW :)

5-15mw of green, 10-50 mw of 635, or 25-100mw of 650 red should work.

LP 638nm 660nm 5-130

The 20mw 635 version if there is chance of a reflection hitting someone's eyes. The 80mw 650 if there is no chance of that. If you think you can handle not dropping it, a 20-50mw green (532) from the same site. (link for that one in my first post - get an IR filter too)
