Normally I'm all in favor of lazerer, but in this case it doesn't seem like a great idea. Max is very honest, and good to deal with, but he's also straight forward about customs... if your laser gets confiscated, you're out of luck.
So it really depends on luck...
In your situation, what I would do is ask Max to take the laser apart as much as possible, and ship the parts completely separate in at least two, maybe even three packages. Mark the packages as cheap gift, and flashlight parts.
Obviously also ask to make sure the company name does not not appear anywhere on the package, as I would imagine it's a huge red flag... not sure if that's something Max can do though.
You may be better off/safer checking out one of jayrob's green kits. A laser module by itself should make it through no problem.... as will the kit.
