daguin said:No need for the sad, embarrassed face. You will have a bright, red burner for a very long time with that set up. My Kenom-built, red Kryton is very similar to yours. I will not alter it. Yes, my 330mW MXDL build IS bright, but I WILL be replacing the diode in the (not too distant) future. The diode is being unduly stressed every time I turn it on. When you are ready (if ever) to break things just to see what it takes to break them, you will build something else. Right now, you have a very cool laser.
