*choke, gasp*

Hmmm.... no. :-X

I could give a new title a shot, but it would be Web 2.0 style graphics, since that's the style I use for my Flash work :)

Whatever you do, make it a .png and put the BG as transparent.

That way, whatever colour it is we can have a multipurpose (wrong word, I know) logo.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I LOVE THE LAYOUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DON'T CHANGE IT!!

PS: i really like it because: A. It makes it easy to read. / B. it's easy on my eyes!
I too would like to keep the dark_shadow layout because 1) I think of it is kind of a trademark of LPF, like company colors or something, and 2) We all work with light here (additive colors) so it would be logical to do this in the dark (symbolically reflected in a dark background). To name a concrete example, dark photos look worse on a white background.

Isn't there a possibility to have a new yabb layout with configurable colors?

[edit]
Hmm...... FAIL! :-X

if we do the upgrade to yabb 2.2.3 i should be able to edit the default layout to look similar to dark_shadows.

make one. that'd be cool. i spent about 15 minutes making the white bg original one.. it'd be nice to know that font so you don't have to manually redo the color scheme..

i currently have no ideas for a new logo, but i'd like somebody to take this idea and make it better

as members ask for a more professional look, i think less colours and sharper text should be in the isotype.
also the laser logo thingie is on every website but that doesnt mean we shouldnt use it. we SHOULD use it, but in an innovative or just different way.

it will be harder to not add eye candy (web 2.0 look/feel) and using a white background, but wth, we are LPF and we can do it.

I inverted the original picture and it looks really cool actually, maybe would be a good logo.

simple fix, i'm surprised i didn't think of doing this earlier. inverse of black = white !

awesome work nikokapo and sk8er

i think it's going to be possible to have a very similar layout to dark shadows on the new yabb 2.2.3. to start i will probably have the default white layout and the dark layout as the 2nd option. once it is tested to work well i might make the dark one default. still having a few issue upgrading so don't think anything will be changing for another day or so.

peace,

-ave

That one looks good, sk8er.

I still think a transparent BG saved as a png would be more efficient, though.

then be my guest :) i didn't want to manually erase all the white...

i did invert the colours on the current logo, but i didnt like the red turning into violet, i tried taking it out, but the blur on the laser "dot" is almost impossible to remove without erasing some parts of the isotype, that's why i didnt show you that option.

BUT

if c0ld can manage to use a dark layout i can think of another logo that matches the website better..
