With halloween looming I had to get my last laser effect sorted today, I had built bits of it ages ago then got into burners and blues.

Below is a picture of the guts:-

10mw green
12 volt fan with mirror
240 volt power supply 12v out
12v reg supply 3v out
Radio spares instrument case.

2 more photo's to follow.

That looks awesome! How is the mirror mounted? Is it a flat piece? What RPM are you turning the fan?

Details, details please!

The mirror is a section out of front surface mirror from a laser printer....I played for hours mounting back to back, I always ended up with 2 lines >:( I managed to mount this one perfectly so it back reflects as well. Stuck on with super glue all edges painted matt black.

The fan has a 1k dropping resistor in line, at full speed it was scary and it vibrated, at its reduced speed it is sweet :).

Rog you never fail to amaze me man. You have one hell of a creative mind. Keep it up man. Nicely done. ;)

I love to see the super projects created on junky benches like mine. ;D

Now I don't feel too bad about my bench.. Nice job there.

Mike

I keep meaning to tidy the bench up but half way through I have an idea and off I go again making an "organised mess" where everything is to hand.

Thanks for the possitive responses guys;)

NO ROG! Don't clean up your bench. A messy bench proves you're busy.
Beautiful job on the projector!!!

When my blues arrive I will need to clean up so that I can lay out my antistatic mat.....normal service, and mess, will soon be resumed no doubt:)
