LG BE12 BluRay Diode pinout ?

I forgot how much fun 405nm is in a dark room -awesome! When I project the spot onto the ceiling everything in the room has that blacklight glow. Many objects, especially white ones, fluorescing brightly. There's a faint haze of scattered high frequency radiation. The beam is faintly visible from all directions, no smoke needed. Difficult for the eye to ascertain the strength of a 405nm laser, it's not very sensitive to violet. Deceptively powerful.

Not certain how many mW I'm getting. I've got the current set to 75mA.

It was a large amount of work to build the pointer, however worth it!

Why is the board soldered upside down?

That thing on the right is a photodiode array. The thing in the middle is a dual diode and outputs both red
and IR.

75mA is pretty low for a 12X diode. You could probably go safely to 350mA, though it depends on how
well that module cools the diode. Monitor the temperature closely.

Nice build! Reminds me of so many of my first builds! Nothing more fun and DIY'ish like a Radioshack project box and some components. +rep for the flash of nostalgia and the nice build.
