Hello!

I got today my 200mW Red Laser (DealExtreme: $29.53 High-Power 200mW Red Laser Pen (Burns Match + Visible Beam Daytime))

I unpack it very curiously and i screw off the thing where the lense is in it!

Now look: http://i46.tinypic.com/2z7gcph.jpg
I am so ashame, but all these things fall out then! And I don´t know what thing should be where!

The 2 Lense have a flat side and a curved!
And these 2 rings... The right, bigger one, have a curl, like a screw! The left one, not!

Please help me :)

I can´t test it, because i have no batteries yet!

I think you must place them inside in the order of your photo, from left to right, with the curved side of the first looking at the outside part. However, I would just wait for the batteries and test ;)

If the lenses look like this in their curvatures.
example 1 )] () ------>
or
example 2 )( ]) ------>

They must be placed in that order to get a beam that can be collimated. The laser source is to the left of each example

ok, i have a )) (litte, on the pic left) and a (() with a more and a less curvature side...

the bigger, (), was close to the lense, i think...
so: -- (() )) -->
or so: -- ()) )) -->

i hope i get the batteries tomorrow, then i can test it!
but where i have to put the two rings?
and can get something broken, when i put then in wrong?

Uhm, first, as far as i remember, those focusing assemblies are triplets, not doublets, so it look as if it lack one lens (if is still in the tube, is ok, don't take it out)

Second, there is a precise order for put them in ..... if you do it in the wrong direction (especially for the two without the spacer between), you crack one of them screwing the holding ring in (the threaded one)

If you are not sure about the sense in which they was inside, or if for any error you crack one of the lenses trying to reassemble it, you can anyway substitute the whole tube with a glass aixiz lens.

ah yes, the bigger one looks like 2 lense are sticky (like glue)!
and these are without space, also yet!

which ring have there near the output diode, the right one or the left one?

have someone this and can take a look or make a picture for me? :)

put them like that
first goes the bigger lens from the curved side(the other side is like straight)
then goes the spacer
after the smaller lens again with the curved side
basically is like that
( |spacer(|and then screw on the other component.
EDIT: picture

Hope that helped.
