Lazerer 1w blue laser help?

That blue trustfire you linked IS a Li-Ion battery. That's the same ones that came with my Rifle from Lazerer, and they are unprotected 4.2V Li-Ion batteries, 16340 is the size.

They don't ship charged and they're pretty crappy cells. One of mine has about 450mAh capacity and the other has about 700mAh, neither reach the 880 listed on the package.

I went to Lighthound and ordered some AW IC Protected 16340 cells with 750mAh capacity, and they have been performing and charging beautifully with a cheap Tenergy uhniversal Li-Ion charger from Amazon.

You cannot charge Li-Ion batteries in a charget not made for Li-Ions. Current from the charger should never exceed 1C and voltage can never exceed 4.19V.

Li-ion batteries have a nasty habit of exploding when not used correctly.

I just got conned and ripped-off by lazerer.com for $134.99

Even though they advertised the safest, insured options on transportation, they don't have any insurance options during their web-order-checkout when ordering from them. So I asked and paid for extra insurance (for the LZSK - 445nm 1W Focusable Blue Laser Pointer) via E-mail/paypal.

This guy max, from lazerer told me that he a added tracking number and that everything was taken care of.

When the yellowish envelop from lazerer.com finally arrived, it was already torn apart and the laser was missing. I informed our post office and filled in all the necessary paperwork.

When I spoke to max from lazerer he told me he could only get back twice the amount of the shipping costs, which is about $10, but in no way will they refund you anything! But they are willing to compensate the next time you order from them (so you can lose everything all over again).

This is how they do business: prepare to kiss your money, time, and effort goodbye and get ripped-off, even if your order is insured!

Do not buy from lazerer.com you'll get scammed and lose your money!

Paypal provides all the protection you need. Its the sellers responsibility to get your item to you 'as described'. If they don't, you open a case and get refunded, it IS that easy.
The 'stolen' item is not your responsibility. You should have photo'd the package and sent Max the picture. He should then have sent out a replacement or refunded you.
You can't say Lazerer have ripped you off and scammed you when some other f~%ker has stolen the goods.

ps max from lazerer told me it would take at least 2 months to sort out things with hongkong post to clear the matter, so i waited. now max tells me that he hasn't insured the order at all, but only the shipping costs.

Something doesn't sound right, but anyway...

The only policies or rules and regs you have to take notice of is Paypal's. Sellers using Paypal who have their own 'policy' are wasting their time telling people what it is - it means nothing. Point out the rules of the game and they have no choice but to play by them (as do buyers).
Saying if a seller refuses to refund, you wont get your money isn't correct. If you win a dispute Paypal will refund you and get it back from the seller one way or another.

If you've been waiting 2 months and more already you'd be way past the 45 day deadline for opening a Paypal dispute (something you have to watch because many 'dodgy' sellers will play for time ), but,... well, I don't know t.b.h.('chargeback' if it was credit card funded?) I've just had to deal with Max myself and was quite happy the way he handled it. He didn't come across as the scamming/rip-off type - far from it. I'm sure he'll put it right eventually, and I'll stand corrected if he doesn't

Haha, i'll give you that one. I would shout about it too (i'm sure i've stated that fact elsewhere ), I wouldn't keep pasting the same thing though. Try and be a little creative

If you buy something on ebay and your stuff doesn't arrive or get stolen/lost/damaged, they usually offer a refund. both parties take a risk.

now, even with extra the bought insurance, he just says, all risk is yours, just re-order. How's that for good business?

I've made pictures of the package you've send and filled in a international form, which HK post can request from DutchPost.

DutchPost told me that, if the someone is going to be paid, it will be you to receive the money for the laser you've insured with HK Post.

So, if you receive the insurance money, will you then resend me the laser for free? I will pay the extra for EMS courier (and preferrably a stronger/more secure box with padding to ship it in).

So I don't understand why the 50% off when you can resend it for free with the insurance money.

ps. Your envelop was ripped apart by somebody, just to take out the laser. If customs takes it, they would leave a note or take the entire package, I would guess. Looks more like it was stolen after the seals where placed by TNT.
So again a padded box would be more secure against theft and damage to the laser (I'm not so worried about customs taking it). People would pay the extra if you had that option, i would certainly do. Also the EMS and insurance can't be chosen when ou buy something from your website. (maybe noting on the package that it's a flashlight instead of a laser may also not tempt any thiefs) Hope this is helpful to you.

Looks like you did receive the the the goggles at least, so it really does seem like someone ripped into the package after it left lazerer. That's not a situation that any seller can foresee.

The reason I was skeptical before is that I've been buying once in a while from lazerer basically since the company started and wasn't aware of any insurance option, especially not for $2.

The $2 is strictly lousy tracking (it's often not accurate at all).

Unfortunately since over 45 days passed you are out of luck.

I would suggest that you take Max up on the 50% off offer, but place a larger order, to offset your loss here, and pay for truly insured EMS shipping.

It's not a perfect situation, but it's better than nothing:undecided:

Given the situation, he may not be able to offer you a refund, but only a credit. This is often the case when a long time passes.

You should have filed with paypal for non receipt to avoid this situation.

He did send the laser.... that you didn't get it is a different problem. He's also apparently willing to lose the profit by offering you a 50% discount on a future order.

Ebay offers just as little protection as any other paypal purchase once you get past 45 days. Also most legitemate companies do not sell handhelds on ebay because handheld lasers over 5mW are not permitted.

What I don't get is why you didn't file a dispute with paypal? That IS the insurance policy when purchasing online.

You didn't file a dispute within 45 days AND lazerer can apparently provide tracking for the package.

This seems like a he said/she said situation, lazerer is offering you $10 back and a 50% discount on a future order. It's a lot more than many companies would do so long after the problem.

You're looking to yell, scream and cry about your displeasure.

You can keep it up, or salvage the situation to benefit yourself as much as possible.
