Re: Lava Micro FlexDrive Driver (lavadrive2) fits
i tested a lavadrive yesterday. and wow, it survived my highly abusive handling:
-i used alligator clips, so i had the output unconnected by high chance
-i connected the battery to the diode-output, d'oh! i was so sure the zener diode would be on the input-side..
-i used it almost-shorted, having only my multimeter connected to measure current, for perhaps 10 secs a few times
-in all that testing i dialed the pot randomly, trying to figure it out
well, there was no current flowing into the diode-pins at all. nothing got hot. nothing broke. it simply works as expected, once i hooked it up properly, with soldered wires. i was sure i killed it, and would have deserved.. ;-)
i hope drlava still sells these to me, knowing how i treated one of those gems? i promise better care, normally i am quite good at electronics.. well, i'll simply read the manual before testing, d'oh!
so, again, these drivers are freaking great!
