Well stated DPSS owns, uses crystals, superior divergence and a round beam not to mention all the colors we can get. I'm tempted in one of those modules, perhaps I can have Eudomonium make a custom host for me. But thats in the future.

Well actually diodes are starting to push past that boundary. Nichia can probably produce any WL between 400nm and 488nm. Its a bit tougher producing DPSS in such a range, but in the green-orange gap DPSS is king, as well as decent beams and divergence. I would either recommend him making one or get a neat looking flashlight to stick one in, and have someone make a heatsink for it. I am doing the latter :shhh:
