UPDATE! Brighter ink!
My printer actually said he can get another ink that has 4 times the flouresce. It costs $260 for a quart.
We printed 25 items on this last run, so essentially the cost per item would be an extra $10. You can do the math to see how many we'd need to get the cost lower...

BUT there have been some interested in donating for the better ink. My printer will have a sample in about 2 weeks. I'll go check it out and see if it really is a lot better and if I think it's worth paying an extra few bucks.

What about a golf type shirt with a laser logo embroidered on it? Or do you only do screen printed?

I can get embroidered done as well. There's a huge book of all the different types of shirts - I can get gym bags, sweats, button up shirts, etc.
Cost of embroidery on top of the item is $3.50 per 100 stitches. Stitch count depends on the logo really... how big, how elaborate.

If that's something people would be interested in, I can get some hard numbers together.

I would totally order a golf shirt and probably a regular short sleeve with a yellow laser logo embroidered on it.. no text.. just the *- symbol (maybe with the triangle around it) where those types of shirts are normally embroidered. I don't like elaborate designs on my shirts and I think embroidered shirts are classy.

Are you thinking same size as the original on the front? front only , right?

Same size or even a little smaller.. Looking for subtle as opposed to screaming... Not filled in of course.

Something I could wear to work and not get funny looks.

And yes front only.. I like the "don't look into laser" thing but I don't think I would ever want it on my back.

Edit:
Actually just took another look at the pic of the current shirts.. I think the size on the front is good, just in the "shirt pocket" area rather than the center.

If GITD thread exists that would rule BTW :)

HAHA Yes GITD thread would be awesome! I can see if it is or not. :)
Golf shirts are $25 + $3 per 1000 stitches + $15 setup on the design. The setup is what makes these more or less expensive because the more you get, the less has to be split to each shirt. If you get just one, you're looking at about $50 + shipping. If you get 20 of them, price would be about $36 each, plus shipping.

Hrm I dunno if I want 20 of them myself... I wonder if anyone else is interested...

I have been in financial Hell for the last 4 months so I had to miss out on the first batch of shirts. Really regret it too.
So i'm checking out possibly getting a couple of polo/golf type shirts and like Guy I'm leaning towards a more subtle and professional look. (not the emroidered version. Screen printed will work just fine on the front left pocket area.)
The selling feature is the GITD aspect as I can print any graphic that I want on t-shirt transfer paper that goes through the computer printer at home.
-I made up lots for the wife when she was pregnant. They turned out as good as the professional versions do. Only thing was that they didn't get any real long term testing for wear by washing as out son was born 6 weeks early and she stopped wearing them. I could feasably take a screen capture of an image including your artwork, crop the image, reverse it, tweak the colors for my printer, print it out (with multiples on each sheet.) and do the iron-on transfer to t-shirts in a matter of hours. I'm not too inclined to do that as I believe it would be unfair and downright mean to ,what I consider to be, a respected member of this forum. But it isn't difficult to do. And they will probably last as long as the shirts do. I'm hard on my clothes !
But I'm getting confused a bit by all the options being discussed here. Is there some sort of simple listing that I can consult to help clear things up ?
Thanks.

Hey Dethlore, sorry about the delay. I have been travelling and haven't been watching the forums.

I'd be willing to spend up to $30 per tee and buy two of them if the GITD is done with the long lasting brighter stuff.

I do not recommend the zinc sulfide based GITD stuff (reds and Ojs), as they really don't last long at all.

Get the v10 from Glow Inc or the Ultra Blue and you will see the difference.

honestly I'd like to see fluorescent pink or indigo. I'm probably alone in that regard.
