As the result of much boredom, I decided to see if I could make a laser float in the air for some reason. :thinking: It's attached to a large neodymium magnet and suspended by a hall effect sensor controlled electromagnet (above)

Better watch out for sudden movement. The direction of the laser is in a uncontrollable state.
 
I am stuck at home waiting on back surgery and looking for things to do with lasers, now I find something to try, hmmm, with proper balance and movement laser light show, but wearing protective lenses, or lining up several hundred matches in a circle, spin the laser and see at what speed the match heads light, hmmm, thanks you have opened a whole new way to kill some time
