It's been metered and I have a power chart. I bought one from a user called Agentmcbaine i think is his name on this forum, and he had 7 for sale and they metered between 3 and 5mW a piece. According to agentmcbaine, the draw current is 80mA.
BTW I assume it's a mulitmode diode because of the price. They also have a single mode pen that puts out 50mW that is 50 dollars.
edit: I just realized I said it was a multimode diode because it's cheap haha. My bad. I'm only assuming because the dot is a rectangle and i'm sure it is because their single mode pen is double the price.
Multiple longitudinal modes don't have much to do with the beam shape. The spots of most laser diodes are rectangle, simply because the emitting area is rectangle. Multimode is a different characteristic entirely. You can have perfectly round multimode beams, and single mode rectangular beams.
And you know that based on the results from which power meter? Incidentally, what is the input current?
